Gabriele Muccino and "Adaline"

As reported by Variety.com site , director Gabriele Muccino is in talks to direct a new movie in Hollywood. After the huge success of Seven Souls and The Pursuit of Happyness , born from the successful collaboration with Will Smith, Muccino has been approached to run " Adaline," a supernatural romance with implications.



Produced by Lakeshore Entertainment Group and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment, the film comes from a screenplay written by J. Mills Goodloe , Salvador Paskowitz and Allison Burnett and tells the story of a young woman born at the turn of the 20th century that became immortal after an accident. After years of loneliness, he met a man who could choose to lose the gift of immortality.


Initially the project had joined Katherine Heigl as actor and director Andy Tennant, but so far nothing is known about the cast. Filming should begin in January 2012 .


Muccino is currently in preproduction of another American film, " Playing the Field" with Gerard Butler on the world of football.
